Reserved variables
There are several variables you can't use.
$_DYNAMIC_ROOT: sets a dynamic root in case you want to change the root of the hacksuite when you use your own apps
$_PATHS: the paths array
$_CONTEXT: the context array
$_LOG: log file location, you can't change it's value unless you want to make use of customized logging and that you know what you're doing
There maybe a couple more, if you're not sure if a variable is set ALWAYS use var_dump.
